(NASHVILLE)--MCA Recording and 20-time Grammy winner Vince Gill and famed steel guitarist Paul Franklin held an intimate evening with Eddie Stubbs on Monday night, July 22, at the Ford Theater at the Country Music Hall of Fame, where they discussed Gill and Franklin’s historical tribute album, "Bakersfield," that will be released July 30.
Guests had the unique opportunity to hear and see WSM’s Eddie Stubbs' interview both Gill, who recently produced Ashley Monroe's new disc, and Franklin as part of a special “Bakersfield” broadcast that's scheduled to air Monday, July 29, at 7 p.m.(CT) on 650 AM/WSM and www.wsmonline.com.
Gill and Franklin pay tribute to the “Bakersfield” sound by performing songs from two of Bakersfield’s sons, Buck Owens and Merle Haggard, on the release. Both musicians shared the producing duties on the 10-song set that makes up the album.
